LED Acne Patch

Our LED Acne Patch combines targeted blue and red light with a hydrocolloid patch for localised spot care. Using 415nm blue light and 630nm red light, the device is designed for acne and blemishes, with a focus on associated redness and inflammation.

We support commercial partners with white-label LED products, product development and quality-managed manufacturing.

What Is an LED Acne Patch?

LED Acne Patches are light therapy devices designed to deliver light to an individual blemish or a small treatment area. They combine two visible-light wavelengths with a hydrocolloid dressing positioned over the selected spot.

They are designed to transmit light through the accompanying patch, bringing LED delivery and a covering dressing together in one product.

The localised format allows brands to offer a dedicated spot-care device alongside broader facial skincare products and treatments.

Blue and Red LED for Acne

The patch uses two wavelengths selected for different roles within acne light therapy.

415nm Blue Light

Blue light at approximately 415nm has been studied for its antibacterial action against Cutibacterium acnes, a bacterium involved in acne. This action depends on the light exposure delivered; wavelength alone does not establish a device’s clinical effectiveness.

Our patch incorporates 415nm blue light as part of its targeted approach to acne and blemishes.

630nm Red Light

Red light has been studied alongside blue light in acne phototherapy, including research examining changes in inflammatory acne lesions. These findings relate to the devices and treatment protocols studied.

Our patch uses 630nm red light to support its intended focus on redness and inflammation associated with blemishes.

Hydrocolloid Patch for Localised Spot Care

Hydrocolloid dressings absorb fluid where it is present, forming a gel as they interact with moisture.

In our Acne LED Patch, the hydrocolloid component covers the selected blemish while allowing light from the device to pass through the accompanying dressing. The product combines these functions within a targeted spot-care format.

The patch formulation, light transmission, and treatment instructions are important considerations when assessing the finished product.

White-Label LED Acne Patch Solutions

Our Acne LED Patches gives commercial partners an opportunity to introduce targeted light therapy under their own brand.

For established skincare businesses, it can sit alongside an existing blemish-care range. For brands already offering facial LED devices, it provides an additional product format focused on localised spot treatment.

Our team can discuss own-brand requirements, branding and packaging options, product specifications and manufacturing needs according to the scope of your project.

Quality and Regulatory Considerations

We operate under an ISO 13485 quality management system, supporting documented development and manufacturing processes.

For medical-grade products, the intended use, technical specification, and supporting evidence must guide product positioning. Regulatory requirements and permitted claims depend on the finished device and the market in which it will be supplied.

Product-specific regulatory status should be confirmed for the intended market.

What Our Partners and Customers Are Saying

Your Questions Answered

What LED colour is best for acne?

Blue light is commonly used to target bacteria associated with acne, while red light is also studied within acne phototherapy. There is no single colour that establishes suitability or effectiveness for every type of acne. Device output, treatment protocol, and the individual’s condition also matter.

How does acne mask light treatment compare with a targeted patch?

An LED mask for acne is designed to cover a broader facial area. An acne LED patch focuses light on an individual blemish or a smaller treatment area. The main difference is the area covered and the product format.

What treatment instructions should accompany the product?

Instructions should specify session duration, frequency, patch application and replacement, suitable treatment areas, and relevant precautions. These details must follow the finished product’s verified instructions for use.

Can the LED Acne Patch be supplied under our own brand?

Yes. We work with commercial partners on white-label LED products. Speak to our team about your branding, packaging, target market, and supply requirements.
